Likely new course, change from last year

While this is preliminary we will likely be altering the course from last year and instead be sailing from Chandler’s, to “s3” to “d3” back to “s3” and back to the start. This will add a few miles to the race, give us a nice long spinnaker run back taking advantage of the predicted southerly breezes, and will help the Donna Ross fleet stay clear of our friends at Rush Creek and their Dinghy Fest race.  We will provide the details in Thursday’s sailing instructions as well as a course map!

Stay tuned…

Sailing Instructions, Notice of Race, and sponsors will be posted this Friday.  Past sailing instructions can be found under “Past Races,” and will be similar. The list of currently registered boats will be posted shortly, though they keep rolling in!  Updates will be posted inline on this page, so please stay tuned.  Skipper’s meeting will be between 1:30pm and 2pm (time to be finalized in Sailing Instructions on Thursday) underneath the patio at Allure Restaurant (just up the steps from the docks), transient slips are available just below Allure (free of charge last I checked, but no warranties expressed nor implied) for anyone who would like to bring their boat over on Friday.

Don’t forget, pre-party THIS Thursday, 5/16 at 7pm at Bridge Bistro (bridgebistrodallas.com) with a great spread provided by Maragux&Kay Agnew and drink specials!
The race is THIS Saturday, 5/18 at 3pm at Chandler’s Landing.  Post-party and awards ceremony immediately after the race at Allure restaurant (approximately 6pm).

The weather looks to be excellent this weekend so don’t miss this beautiful day at the lake racing, celebrating, and sharing stories, all for a great cause!

See you on the lake!!
